Reality is Watching

Reality Watches Back draws on my practice as an artist, writer, and producer, the collection develops ideas at the heart of Hyper Immersive Reality – a framework I have created for experiences in which our participation can influence how a story unfolds.

Twelve connected essays are accompanied by two standalone pieces – the defining article on Hyper Immersive Reality, and an existential reflection on who we are when the world stops responding. Each offers its own point of entry into a larger inquiry – how do we preserve agency, meaning, and room for uncertainty as our environments become more responsive?
