About the Work
My academic writing explores storytelling at the intersection of architecture, technology, performance, and embodied experience.
Developed alongside my PhD research at The Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL, this body of work investigates how stories can move beyond the screen and become spatial, responsive, and participatory experiences.
Central to my research is Production Architecture — a framework for designing technologically mediated storytelling environments in which space, bodies, objects, sound, and responsive systems operate as narrative materials. Rather than treating architecture as the setting for a story, I explore how environments themselves can shape narrative, agency, emotion, and experience.
My writing also develops Hyper Immersive Reality (HIR), an approach to art in which human agency, embodied experience, physical space, and responsive systems function as one medium. HIR considers what becomes possible when audiences do more than observe a work: when their actions have consequences, their bodies contribute to the experience, and the world responds to them in real time.
Across essays, research reflections, and developing theoretical work, I write about immersive storytelling, spatial narrative, worldbuilding, interactivity, emerging technologies, embodiment, agency, and the changing relationship between physical and digital experience.
